1. STRATEGIC PLANNING
Strategic plans are the key management tools of each committed institution or organisation. They define the strategic goals of an organisation/institution or public policy for the upcoming multiyear period. In the last year of the current plan, a new cycle of strategic planning is initiated.
The process starts with an assessment of the current situation in an institution/organisation or public policy, followed by a structured process of participatory (re)definition of the vision, priority goals, measures and activities, accompanied by a time-line, persons/institutions responsible for implementation, monitoring indicators and necessary financial resources, including sources of funding.
MAP offers the following types of strategic planning:
- Strategic plans for institutional/organizational development (public bodies, academic institutions, civil society organizations)
- Human resource development strategies, as part of activities implemented by Local partnerships for employment at county levels
- Development plans and implementation programmes for units of regional and local government in line with legal framework for strategic planning and development management
- Other sectoral strategies at the level of local or regional self-government or at the national level.
